About these terms
These terms apply to crypticinkling.co.uk and the Cryptic Inkling YouTube channel. By using them you agree to these terms. Questions: info@crypticinkling.co.uk.
What we provide
Cryptic Inkling explains cryptic crossword clues with hand-drawn animated hints and videos, free of charge. We do our best to be accurate, but explanations can occasionally be wrong; the newspaper's published solution is the final word.
The service is provided as it is, without any guarantee that it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or stop any part of it.
Crosswords and credits
Published crossword clues remain the copyright of their publishers and setters. We quote individual clues for the purpose of criticism and review, credit the setter and publisher, and link to the original puzzle. We never republish complete grids. Cryptic Inkling is independent and not affiliated with any newspaper.
If you're a publisher or setter with any concern, please email info@crypticinkling.co.uk and we'll respond promptly.
Our content
The explanations, drawings, animations, videos, mascot and site design are our own work and are protected by copyright. You're welcome to link to and share our pages and videos. Please don't copy or republish our content, or copy it in bulk by automated means, without asking first.
YouTube
Our videos are hosted on YouTube, and watching them is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. Our privacy policy explains how we use YouTube API Services: https://crypticinkling.co.uk/privacy.
Links
We link to newspaper puzzle pages and other sites we don't control, and aren't responsible for their content or policies.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from using the site or relying on its explanations. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If they change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
