Container clues
One set of letters is placed inside another. Each part usually comes from a synonym or an abbreviation, and a word like 'in', 'about' or 'holding' tells you which part goes where.
How to spot one
- Look for words about holding, keeping, eating, entering or going round.
- Work out which word is the outside and which is the inside: 'A in B' puts A inside B.
- Short parts are often abbreviations such as S for son or E for English.
- Once you have one part, look for where the other could slot in.
